I'll add my 2 cents here since this information helped me on another thread. This device is more powerful than your regular Fire TV stick and Chromecast w/GTV. It may or may not be noticeable in everyday tasks but where I feel that it really shines is in streaming games from my PC to my TV. I get smooth 1080P streaming with no artifacts and no noticeable lag. I've tested multiple other devices and none of them was as good.

Can you wirelessly stream audio from a fire tv stick to your echos? I have a "home theater" setup with fire tv cube and 2 echos and echo sub all synced and playing together wirelessly from whatever I'm watching from my fire tv cube. It's so convenient in fact that I'm getting rid of my klipsch 2.1 setup in my bedroom

If we're being honest, the only real perk for a normal user is this basically combines the echo and the fire TV stick - still, very tempting to grab another

I'll add my 2 cents here since this information helped me on another thread. This device is more powerful than your regular Fire TV stick and Chromecast w/GTV. It may or may not be noticeable in everyday tasks but where I feel that it really shines is in streaming games from my PC to my TV. I get smooth 1080P streaming with no artifacts and no noticeable lag. I've tested multiple other devices and none of them was as good.

Do you know if this can play my 4k Atmos Blu Ray 80Gb Rips from my NAS using Kodi just like my Shield TV ?

Double the storage too which is a big deal if all you do for TV like me is stream you'll have several apps and the storage fills up way to fast and none of the cheap streaming devices like the TiVo, Chromecast or Fire sticks have enough storage. It was ridiculous they thought 8gb would be enough and by the time you go the backdoor method to expand the storage it's cheaper and easier to buy this.

Idk if this is the model I have but everything streaming hiccups on my TV. I have a wired connection, even plex does it. It's annoying as hell. Paid $40 on woot a while back.
