Got this as part of a combo. The lens is long throw. It has a very defined hot spot. As a work light, it's okay if you can aim it where you need it and it is fairly adjustable. If you can bounce the light off something to disperse it works better for a work light. As a flashlight, it's great for checking my yard for critters, but not the best for illuminating my feet while walking the yard. That said, I love this thing far more than I expected. It's super handy, light and great to just be able to slap a DeWalt 20v in there and it runs forever.
That said, I have a lot of good flashlights at cheaper price points, but hard to beat the convenience of using the DeWalt battery platform as a power source.
With just a loop to hang and not a hook, it's kinda pointless. Unless you're working in a closet with hooks in JUST the right place. The pic shows a piece of flex-conduit looped through it, so I guess they're suggesting you build the light into your workspace.

No idea if the price is a deal, but it's cheaper than HD and Lowe's at $57.
