For my staff, we do grant proposals for a college. So in the coarse of working on a proposal, my Research Administrator (RA) will reopen the same Sponsor Instructions about 20+ times. If finding that document takes even 30-60 seconds each time, they're spending 10-20 minutes just opening the same document. Mapped once to the stream deck, it's available at the touch of 1 button. 1 second to push a button x 20 = 20 seconds spent. 30-60 seconds opening manually 20 times, that's 10-20 minutes spent.
In the course of creating that proposal, they'll open our Proposal folder 10-20 times... 30-60 seconds spent finding that folder (5-6 clicks in),... Reduce that to a 1 button operation, that's 10-20 seconds total spent opening that folder instead of 5-20 minutes spent manually.
When we need to submit the proposal, we need to go to the sponsors website and input the specific username and password for that proposal. Finding the password requires opening a web browser, navigating to our ticketing system, finding the right ticket, opening it, navigating to find where the username/password is stored. Now I have 1 button that takes them directly to the sponsor submission and pre-stores the username/password. So 2 buttons and it's perfect every time instead of the 2-3 minutes the old way. Go to that site 10 times and that's another 20 minutes saved per proposal.
It takes 2-3 minutes to properly map a proposal to the stream deck... Set it and forget it.
Conservatively, that's well more than 30 minutes reduced per proposal per person. 100 proposals per year times 30 minutes saved is 50 hours of time previously wasted. 50 hours of a 2080 hrs worked per year is 2.4% of that persons time/salary saved. $65k salary times 2.4% a payback of $1,560 savings for a $149 device.

Can you use this when launching a game like WOW for macros?
Use to be a fan of Perfect Keyboard back in the days for building out macro lists for work and automating tasks. Combine this with Macro Toolbox and could save a lot of time.

I can launch that specific program... macro to say "I need backup" (ie: B then 7), a macro to heal myself ( "U' then "/medic" then presses enter), Sorry button is macro "U" to go to team chat then "Sorry for the Team Kill" then enter, Forgive TK macros "U" then "forgivetk" so the person that killed me is forgiven and isn't banned after 3, the vote button is a macro "U" then "rockthevote" so I can suggest voting on a new map. IT shows my processor usage, and the dials brings up a screen so I can adjust the volume control of my game vs other programs running sound.
No need to combine this with another Macro builder, it allows you to right within the Stream Deck control software. The Stream Deck essentially is a macro keyboard with LED buttons that change! With folders, it's an unlimited amount of buttons.
