Huge Chromebook fan here. My experience is 8 gigs of ram is really needed these days for Chromebooks. Websites are just becoming too robust.
It's pretty bad. Very old tech wish amd would stop selling it

This is a really nice budget Chromebook but the A6 isn't that great. I ended up returning mine and getting the N4020 version from Walmart. I eventually picked up another Lenovo 3 for $60.00 along with a C340 convertible for $70.00 when Walmart cleared them out. The C340 came with a N4000 which is just fine.

These might be nice for a low power home server that runs 24/7, but there are definitely more powerful options.

The CPU is a little bit slower than a Pi 4 (https://cpu-benchmark.org/compare...m-bcm2711/) and only has 2 cores vs the Pi's 4

I believe this comes with a 45w adapter, so it's likely running 10-20w depending on the load. Also similar to the Pi, and should be able to properly power the USB ports.

4GB ram, which is at the bottom end for desktop use IMO, but for many server loads it should be fine.

So I would say it is comparable to Pi 4, but the Pi 4 is a better value at similar specs (4gb ram). That said, those seem to be sold out everywhere these days, as are most current gen processors and tech, so if you need something now, I would say it's at least an option. Similar to the Amazon fire tablets, very cheap, but you're essentially getting what you pay for.

No. This is an e-waste Peace
Seriously, we keep buying gadgets after gadgets and most are waste. I come from the era when we were content with few things and took care to keep them properly. Now even features such as crack free when dropped has to be incorporated!

4GB is more than enough for candy crush. Which is all this paperweight is good for. Get a Windows machine
I'd think most people have both Chromebooks and Windows laptops these days. I have 6 Chromebooks and 2 Windows laptops but tend to use a Chromebook about 99% of the time for work and surfing. I still have to use a Windows laptop once in a while for one company I work for that requires me to download their software. I'm not a gamer so Chromebooks are perfect for my uses.
