It's MAR10 day!
Thanks OP. Purchased the original version [amazon.com] that also had $4.40 w/ "clip" coupon instead.
How about that? The game of life is endorsing my habit of taking mushrooms. I appreciate it, Hasbro

That's not the original, but a cheap, stripped down, "modern" version. I returned it after getting it for a game night and disappointing a group of friends. This is the original version https://www.amazon.com/Winning-Mo...132&sr=8-9

I like the original game of Life and I like almost everything Mario BUT combining the two does not make sense. The game of Life is based on recreating the major events of living such as choosing a career, getting married, etc , That premise does not seem to translate into one-up mushrooms, coins, power ups etc . I wonder if the woke mob has gotten to Hasbro and is putting pressure on them to disavow traditional family values such as marriage and having children .

I think it's just a money grab but it doesn't entice for reasons stated

I LOVE all the other nintendo based board games but this one misses the mark. Games are insanely long and drag on and on. Its very hard to want to finish as not much happens throughout. Stick with mario monopoly, which is amazing.

It says right in the description "Unlike classic The Game of Life board game, this edition isn't about money or retirement. The ultimate goal in this board game for kids is to defeat Bowser." Pretty sure they aren't advocating that you should get married to giant turtles or ride sentient dinosaurs. They aren't undermining the "traditional family values" of original LIFE, like materialism equals happiness, greed is good, or you must get married to win. It's just simple capitalism.
