I doubt it's standard policy but the free AirPods registered as a separate transaction with its own full price receipt and that cost was deducted from the price of the iMac. It was surprising as I had planned to sell the AirPods but when I saw that I just brought them to a store with the receipt and got a refund to my credit card.

**FYI when SD mods updated this deal for Front Page status, they edited the thread title/info in a way that makes it seem like the deal is only a Target.com deal. It's not. It's in-store too. Please see my original deal post for additional helpful info.**

Just FYI, I also found an offer in my account for 2 purchases of $30 or more then get $10 Target. It works after I purchased 2x $100 gift card for those that have similar offer.

A year or two back when the promo was better, I bought a total of 98, one transaction at a time. I had to spread them out every five minutes or so, as when I did them immediately back to back, some would not be fulfilled. I think I spread them out over a 3 day period. Needed a few MacBooks and few iPhones for the office and got plenty of target credit. It was a win win for me. Haven't done in a while, but its time to do another set of purchase for the office, so maybe this will work again.

You should not have been able to return the AirPods for a refund. Don't give people false hopes. Someone made a mistake.

I have a make 3 qualifying transactions of $60 or more, get $25 in Target Circle promotion in my Target account. Apparently Apple gift cards count for this promotion even though fine print states otherwise. Check your account to see if you have a similar one.

I got mine cancelled after 3 orders last year when Target had this promotion. Best Buy ran a same deal and I was able to get 5 cards per day. Got my new MacBook Pro fully paid for with the gift cards.
