As TVs are coming in, what are people pairing this with as far as surround? I was considering full surround for our new Great Room, but I think I'm going to opt for a Soundbar + subwoofer setup. I am concerned with how the soundbar will look if it's significantly narrower than the TV. Was looking at the SP9YA, but the reviews are okay. I should probably hop on Reddit or AVSforum and see what other owners have. I anticipate this TV will be our secondary movie TV (primary would be the loft TV), and mostly for random TV, sports, etc. Maybe a simple soundbar + subwoofer with no surrounds would be sufficient.

If you can afford full surround and have the room for it, it's worth it and will always beat a sound bar IMO. Those Klipsch deals that get posted all the time are good starter sets for most people. There's of course better stuff out there depending on how much you wanna spend.

Same - I have a theater room already and just want a soundbar + sub for this with no satellites. I too was looking at the SP9YA but it gets mediocre reviews...

I have an earlier SN11 system paired with my CX and it was great.

All depends on the budget/preferences, I have the Sonos Arc and really like it. I will be investing in the sub & down the road potentially adding 2 One speakers for the full surround set-up

The sub/bar is like $1600 so I wouldn't consider this an inexpensive set-up, I do however qualify for Sonos discounts that brought my cost down. Sub, retail is $749 and I'm getting it for $100 less.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone! I don't have a specific budget, but will really depend on what what's available and how it looks. Really want a 55"+ wide soundbar likely so it doesn't look any dinky next to the TV, so maybe the SN11 system. The Klipsch 1200 looks good, but quite expensive too. Maybe if the Klipsch 700 goes back on sale at Costco.

The only reason someone should opt for a sound bar is space consideration. There's no benefit compared to a full surround setup. You can get much better quality at the same price or even less. Get a mid range denon amp on accessories4less and search avs or audioholics for speakers in your price range. There's plenty out there. Again, don't go sound bar route unless you need to for space sakes, or spouse request for minimalist looks

Ok so seems Costco no longer offers warranties for TVs not purchased there, anyone have any recommendations on extended warranties outside of what qvc had to offer?

Yes, it shipped. Right before jokercard906 last night. Seems like we were some of the first in the thread. I don't think they update shipping info until late night, so I wouldn't expect updates until then.
