The key difference between the sammy and Sony will be brightness. The Samsung is noticeably brighter. That gives it more "pop". The grass fields will be a brighter green. The colors in movies will be more pronounced. If you like brighter colors and more pop then the samsung is for you. If too bright a TV isn't your thing then the go with the Sony x90. Both TVs perform really well and as overly simplistic as it may seem, the brightness is the most notable difference.

On paper I'd say so. You could always PM at Best Buy and if it doesn't work out then return within the 30 day window.
I really love Sony TV's personally. You can go to rtings.com for side by side or look at reddit home theater section on why they tend to avoid Samsung
Turns out - they declined the price match. Never notified me. I had to call and ask about it. I am also a Total Tech member.

I have the Sony x90j in a 55" and a 65" Samsung Q90. Both are nice sets and I don't have any complaints with either. I game (have kids who game too) so both have PS5s connected. I explicitly bought the x90j to pair with a PS5 (2.1 HDMI) Both perform really well for gaming, but you said you don't game. Sports and movies for you. Soooo...

Sony's the king of sports!
Especially there 90/900 models
I have followed every tv model ever made in the past 6 years and I have held the argument that the 90/900 tvs are the very best starting with the 900e for everything but gaming and 900f for everything but extreme competitive gaming

And I want to say rtings scores are totally skewed because focus WAY to much on reflections!
they do all there testing in a bright light lit warehouse, people watch tv during the evening and without direct lights on there screen and there's even some benefit in clarity when screen ISN'T extreme antireflective...
No. You cannot.

Costco only price matches their own prices. So if you see they are selling cheaper than what you paid, you can get a price match within 30 days, but they won't match another retailer like Amazon.
