I logged into my Verizon FiOS account (via iOS app) and much to my surprise received an offer for an upgrade to 300/300 from 200/200 for the same monthly price of $39.99 and no change in terms (no contract with autopay). I am based in PA, US. The only hardline competition locally for me is Comcast Xfinity with some coverage for T-Mobile 5G broadband (which may be influencing the offer).
I did not receive a mailer either physically or electronically. This simply came up as an option when I clicked on Internet—>Upgrade my speed. Granted I had already been receiving speeds above 200/200 prior to the upgrade, but this formalizes it.
Autopay via bank account or debit card is required, at least for my account.

If you rent any equipment you have to return it on your old account BUT SAVE THE RECEIPT GIVEN WHEN YOU RETURN. They tried to get me to pay for a router after I said no for a receipt. I had a paper trail and tracking numbers.
Nice job. That runs counter to everything else I've read. They supposedly do it by SSN. Otherwise it would be too easy to jump from offer to offer.
switched
Buy a wifi mesh, the coverage is much more better
On my account for 20 dollars more I can get gigabite speeds with free router and router extender. At the very least I'd explore that option
If available, switch to Comcast. When Comcast new customer promo rate ends, go back to Fios. Verizon will be happy to install a new ONT for a new/winback customer.

If not, is comcast/xfinity better with promoitions now?
thanks.

$69.99
$69.99
I went to change service ( from MD to VA due to move ) They wanted to charge me 49.99 instead of my old 39, because they were giving me 300 instead of 200. I went and did the trick you posted, and called back today and they gave me my old rate.
Much appreciated !

Does the $10 auto-pay paperfree discount drop off for everyone
if you make a one time payment ?
It seems it will show you are still autopay-enrolled but the discount will be gone in the next bill.
Is this a glitch or by design?
