Not sure if this is the right forum, so feel free to delete or move (mods):

I logged into my Verizon FiOS account (via iOS app) and much to my surprise received an offer for an upgrade to 300/300 from 200/200 for the same monthly price of $39.99 and no change in terms (no contract with autopay). I am based in PA, US. The only hardline competition locally for me is Comcast Xfinity with some coverage for T-Mobile 5G broadband (which may be influencing the offer).

I did not receive a mailer either physically or electronically. This simply came up as an option when I clicked on Internet—>Upgrade my speed. Granted I had already been receiving speeds above 200/200 prior to the upgrade, but this formalizes it.

Autopay via bank account or debit card is required, at least for my account.

Pseudo incorrect. I signed up with same name but different email. I timed it so I was only out of internet for a day. You can say you will be the new resident.

If you rent any equipment you have to return it on your old account BUT SAVE THE RECEIPT GIVEN WHEN YOU RETURN. They tried to get me to pay for a router after I said no for a receipt. I had a paper trail and tracking numbers.

Nice job. That runs counter to everything else I've read. They supposedly do it by SSN. Otherwise it would be too easy to jump from offer to offer.

I was able to officially switch my plan from 200/200 to 300/300 without having to add a router or subscribe to Disney. It was basically 3 clicks. Thanks.

I am on the same 300 plan. Paying $35 because of $5 discount from my employer, so check if your employer offers similarly. It took me 4 years to notice this

Guys, I'm paying $15/month for a router. Should I buy one instead? Just find a compatible router?
Buy a wifi mesh, the coverage is much more better

On my account for 20 dollars more I can get gigabite speeds with free router and router extender. At the very least I'd explore that option

They came out when my plan went from 75/75 to 100/100. I didn't pay a single fee - they did on their own.
If available, switch to Comcast. When Comcast new customer promo rate ends, go back to Fios. Verizon will be happy to install a new ONT for a new/winback customer.

I placed a cancellation order for my current service for 5/17. When I try to place a new order by entering SSN for credit check, it says invalid SSN. Just to be explicit, yes I am entering correct SSN. Anyone know why this may be happening? Is it because Cancellation date is so far or any other pointers?
