I was about to pull the trigger u til I read all the reviews about the short/defective battery life necessitating almost weekly recharges from the get go. This is a no go for me.

Got mine installed 3 months ago and no need to recharge the battery yet. Around 20-30 uses per day. Costco has it $20 cheaper form time to time .

I might give get on from Costco then when it is on sale since they have a more flexible return policy. I like the concept a lot but I do not know about the execution

I have this model on both my front and back doors. Installed 5 months ago and only had to recharge 1 of the batteries 1x -- only for the door that we use multiple times per day. The other door is hardly used and it still hasn't needed to be recharged.
