MTTM means Mid-Tweeter-Tweeter-Mid. I have them on their sides with both tweeters in the middle wired in parallel which shows my receiver a 4ohm load. I also put a layer of grill cloth over the grills to make them look like one speaker. Many audiophiles frown upon using this method but, so far, I haven't auditioned a center that has sounded better to my ears.
I've gone through a lot of center channels including this one. I purchased the one I had on the used market but ended up selling it after about a week. It's definitely one of the better ones I've tried but I always end up going back to a nice pair of bookshelf speakers for center duty in a MTTM arrangement.
I've got one in black, bought it used with a broken grill for about this much. It replaced a Pioneer Andrew Jones Center that wasn't keeping up with the rest.
I like it, though I think it's more "musical" than it is "cinematic". Still, I get a wide enough listening angle for the room seating positions, and directionality (esp with video game) is quite good with the tower fronts. Music (within movies) does seem like it's their strong-suit.
I bought a couple (one in garage, one in living room) of these used for $60, main reason for selling was the speaker is too big. I've been using them now for over 4 years, I still like it, just make sure you set it up right with your receiver, otherwise it can overwhelmed your other speakers

What is a MTTM? How do you use a pair of bookshelf speakers for 1 center channel?

Nice deal, but I'm waiting, or more like hoping, for the Infinity RC263 center to come back in stock and go on sale.
It's my understanding that the RC263 (and all of the reference series) was discontinued a few years back like the primus line before it but fingers are crossed for you as it's not official, official.
I have a Polk Audio CS2 center[crutchfield.com] I've been using for years now that I'm happy with and was wondering if the CSi A6 would be a substantial upgrade?
I'm thinking if the difference is relatively small I would be better off waiting for a more significant improvement and save my money.
I like the look of the CSi A6 however and free shipping with 2.5% cash back via online rebate sites (Can't mention them here unfortunately) makes the deal pretty appealing. I've had nothing but the best experience dealing with Crutchfield which is another tempting factor as well...

Someone in here recently said they contacted Infinity and they said they were hoping to restock them. I'm hoping that was honest talk from the Infinity rep. I look online all the time to see if anyone local is selling theirs but never see any.

I upgraded from the CS2 to this. It's a noticeable and immediate difference that normally you'd pay way more than $130 for.
Bottom line comparison: The sound is fuller, voices sound better, and sound effects are more impactful with the A6.
Make sure that 24" wide isn't going to be a problem with placement.
