Gundam Wing was pretty much THE reason Gundam got popular in the States. When it ran on Toonami alongside the likes of Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, Yu Yu Hakusho, etc...it definitely hit a lot of teenagers with all the right beats. It also paved the way for more Gundam series to come over (Original Gundam and G Gundam are two I remember; 8th MS Team and 0083 came over too but were late-night airings).

8th MS Team is a short, but pretty meaningful series.

One great Gundam series I like is Mobile Fighter G Gundam, where every nationality/country has its own Gundam and they engage in combat with one another on a competitive scale.

If you want to watch the original storyline in chronological order from the sales items:
OG Gundam > 8th MS Team > Igloo > 0080 > Thunderbolt > 0083 > Zeta > ZZ > Char's Counterattack > Unicorn > F91 > Victory Gundam

If you want to look into some isolated Gundam series:
Wing, G Gundam, SEED/SEED Destiny, 00, Turn A, Gundam X

Me, I am in for the whole of Gundam Wing and G Gundam. Repped.

Edit: I had posted the original storyline in its released order, not chronological. It is now revised.

So much Gundam purchased…I ordered everything from MSG until 08th MS Team. Gonna hurt my wallet but I've been wanting to watch from the beginning and not all of it is on streaming. Not to mention, streaming really doesn't mean much to collectors. It certainly seems that Gundam on blu-ray is always expensive even on sale but it just softens the blow.

I actually re-watched Gundam Wing a few years ago. It doesn't hold up to when I watched it for the first time on Toonami. Still a decent series, though.

If you're re-itching for Wing again, I recommend reading the Glory of Losers manga, which is basically a manga form of the anime story, but incorporates the "Endless Waltz" pre-custom designs and add-ons like the ever sexy Tallgeese Flugel

I absolutely loved 08ths team. I haven't watched gundam since I was a kid and this brought back all the nostalgia even though I had never seen 08. The sounds, the design/art was all so nostalgic I loved it. Surpsingly I really liked 00 too. The animation wasn't doing it for me but I still gave it time. It ended up being an amazing show. Yes it corny/cliché but it gets pretty deep and dark
