Samsung's newest TV with QD-OLED just went live for pre order. Lost of confusion with people not knowing if this was their new QD-OLED tech or the OLED TV that's supposed to release with LG panels, but according to online tech sites, Samsung confirmed it is QD-OLED.

65" $2849.99
55" $2089.99

Amazon has it available for pre-order and delivery on April 11th vs 21st from Samsung directly. Price is the same with 5% back using amazon credit card.

Samsung website shows me it would ship out on the 8th. Not that it matters, this price is ridiculous for a 65" OLED from a manufacturer this late in the game. Guess they realized their QLED is a joke.

QD-OLED is different than regular oled. Brighter and much less possibility of burn in. But the features are not worth the premium price in my opinion when you can get a 77C1 for around $2600.

Gorgeous looking - Wonder what reviews are like.

Also curious when their new USTs are coming out?

Samsung doesn't want to pay for the licensing fee, that's why they push HDR10, etc.

I disagree. If this is the holy grail: contrast of OLED, brightness and reliability of QLED, then it's well worth the premium. I'm very interested in the rtings review of this thing.

I just bought several TV's and it was very hard to justify OLED when you consider that every single CX (2 year old model) listed on the used market has green tint burn in. It also doesn't help that every extended warranty explicitly says it doesn't cover burn in, other than the one from best buy. I ended up buying 2 QLED and one OLED, with the 5 year best buy warranty on the OLED. I fully expect to get a free replacement at least once during that time.

this years samsung qd-oled isnt priced much higher than their flagship neo qled. I will probably wait for reviews out but right now im gunning for the qn90b if it is an improvement from last years model. If last years model had the 4 full bandwidth hdmi ports i wouldnt even bother with this years model because of price. I honestly cant tolerate the dimmer oled panels especially the abl. Its pretty but just doesnt wow me in bright scenes as mini qled.
