"Opened computers and computer software — original packaging cannot be unsealed"
Looks like I am cancelling my order. Worried that I won't like the bulk of the unit for portability.
2x 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD cost $200
Assuming you can sell the 2x 8GB for $80 and the 500GB M.2 NVMe SSD for $60
The total cost of the upgrades is $220 so you are actually paying $1620 if you buy the $1400 Walmart deal and do the $220 upgrades yourself. Might as well buy the $1550 B&H deal and save $70.

why doesn't Lenovo offer it directly so we can make the deal sweeter with CB

I've heard B&H are very strict with returns. You really have to demonstrate some kind of manufacturer defect and even then they may try to argue that it was the customer's fault. If it's clear that it was not the fault of the customer they will of course allow a return. That's what I've read from online comments through the years.

Yeah I'm mainly looking to finish school on it and game on the side as well as run virtual machines and Linux so I probably don't need the 12th gen Intel but it sounds nice with 14 cores...but not sure at the cost of tons of heat and much worse battery life...might have to pick this up and just return the m16 when it comes in
Directly from Lenovo would've been great but the return policy of B&H is agonizing.
Shouldn't the 12th Gen be better with battery management? It does have some high efficiency cores. Maybe still not as good as amd, but way better than before.
Look into hp omen 16.1 from bestbuy
It's portable
