There will be a refresh to the Pro models to distinguish them further from the Air 5
Right now the benefits of going Pro 11 vs Air 5 include
- 120 Hz Pro Motion Screen
- 4 speakers instead of 2
- Face ID
- LIDAR + better cameras
- Double the storage on the base mode

List price (non-Costco) is $799, so $699 is $100 off of that. Costco already discounts to $749. I haven't seen it new for $699 in awhile.

I was debating between the 256GB Air @ $749 and the 128GB Pro at $799. This at $699 is a no brainer for me — the 120hz ProMotion screen is incredible and makes all the difference. 64GB isn't enough for 2022.
Pro is worth it. I wouldn't consider 64GB anyway, but the display and Face ID on the Pro make for a better experience, imo.
I would go with the Pro, The 120hz display plus double the storage is worth the $100.
They are nearly identical now. If you are in a position to play with both in store I suggest you do that. Personally I own the 12.9 Pro and it's great. But a big part of it is the 120hz display which the 11in Pro also has. It's missing from the air and to me it's worth the extra money if you can afford it.
