Your dentist, periodontist, and hygienist will tell you that a waterpik is not a substitute for flossing. Ask them. A waterpik is great to clean the gumline and flush out surface debris between the teeth, but not as great as a thread scraping the surfaces between the teeth.
When treasure truck started 7 years ago, it was literally a truck that would drive through cities and you could meet up with it and get some discounted products. I believe around the time that covid hit it switched to no longer being physical trucks but just a daily deal anyone anywhere could receive.
True, but they will also tell you that it is better than not flossing at all. And my dentist said if you are going to get one, get a plug-in, not a cordless. But again, I would think that a cordless is better than nothing!

Every I go to the dentist he asks me when I last flossed, and I'm always like "Dude, you were there!"

While the price is fine if you really need it, it isn't necessarily better than the all-time-low on CCC of 39.93$ not all that long ago on 11/29/2019. Ironically enough, this morning I finished unpackaging the open box WP-660 I ordered on eBay for 25$+Tax (which really was unused), so while I'd like to buy a spare for the family, I'm not sure it's truly worth it at 44$+Tax. Hmm...

Has anyone tried any of the off brand ones on Amazon? I've never had a water flosser, but have been meaning to get one.

I understand that, this would be in addition to traditional flossing.

I've been told the same, but from the data and studies that I have reviewed on PubMed the two seem comparable. Of course keeping in mind that the research done was authored by Waterpik employees.
