Can confirm this is not a good coaster. Last time I sat my beer on it the damn thing started rolling down my driveway and spilled my beer. Would not recommend as a coaster.

I can tell you by looking at this that it will be flimsy and falling apart. The center bar will drag constantly and bolts will always be loose. The upside is that it folds to take up minimal space as long as you never use it.

Valid concerns. However, according to this video [youtu.be] (different "brand" - identical construction), it doesn't look bad at all. It's probably not what a professional auto mechanic would want for daily use, but for the occasional DIY-er this might be perfect. I would store it in a plastic bag to avoid dust/soot build up in the garage.
