Yeah, the detail about the product is unreadable on mobile due to the white background. Looks like a good product/price and love the fact the motion detection product can be setup to auto turn on power plug when it senses motion coming in a room! Standalone support but it also supports Alexa, Google Home, Siri Shortcuts, IFTTT, LINE Clova, and SmartThings...

Not sure what a shill post is. I have nothing to do with product or person who posted it. Just my review of reading website. If that is a shilly post then I guess it is shilly. ๐Ÿ˜‚. I was glad to see product works with smarthings because that is my ecosystem pref.

It is also compatible with Home Assistant. That's one of the reasons I purchased... and the price, of course!

I started with smarthings zwave devices but the prices of wifi devices like this post have me moving to Google home assistant supported items. Zwave products were always $$$. I even put wifi power controllers on mesh wifi satellites to make them easy to reboot. Wish I could find a wifi power controller that would sense when someone (who isn't using home assistant or smartphone app) tries to turn on a light that is plugged into a power controller which would make the power controller apply power to the light (basically sensing that light was switched off - open circuit - and then turning light back on - closed circuit...) You know, for the people in the house that haven't fully accepted a smart home yet. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Non-Z-wave or Zigbee products hog bandwidth on unlicensed GHz spectrum, and also consume more energy, subject to Internet outages and more. Anyone serious about home automation spends a few extra bucks for the real thing.

Also: SwitchBot's examples are hilariously stupid. They show it controlling a toaster, which is insane when you consider that, ya know, toasters pop up. They say it should be used to stop a cell phone charger before it "overcharges" (?). And they don't clarify at all whether Bluetooth can be controlled by a SwitchBot Hub, leaving off Wi-Fi.

"Google home assistant" isn't a thing. What the person you quoted was talking about is Home Assistant, which is like Smart things but much more capable.
