Thanks for the info and being helpful. I've applied $5 Discover cashback to the order, with balance on Discover credit card, but I still don't get the discount.

Just curious, did your order include Amazon gift card, or was it other items shipped and sold by Amazon? Thanks....

It was actually a DoorDash gift card. Sorry I didn't include that information in my previous comment. I tried it on Amazon gift card and didn't work.

I got "Your points will be applied at checkout but we were not able to activate the promo code. If you have already activated this code, your discount will be applied at checkout." Turns out I already had it activated? It's been months since I last did it, but didn't buy anything.

It is still a process, but if you shop on Amazon using a desktop browser, then narrow your search by department, you can select your seller and choose Amazon.

Not sure if the desktop version on a mobile device also gives that option, but might be worth a try.
