Anywho, lmao, it still blows my mind. Boxes of cereal come in many sizes. The "regular" size is usually about this size. As low as 9oz to as much as rarely 15 or 16oz. Usually the more tasty, sweet, and unhealthy it is, the lower the weight per box/higher $ per oz when not on any kind of sale. Denser things like higher-fiber, whole grain, low sugar bran cereals tend to be heavier, but also tend to go on sale less, with stuff like grape nuts pretty much never going on any real sale at any store ever. But, at more stores, regular non-sale/coupon price of most brand name cereals are simply not worth it, especially if there is either a store brand alternative or a "bulk bagged" alternative like a comparable flavor of the malt-o-meal brand (which are usually substantially cheaper per oz than name brand without a sale, but usually have to buy a big bag - though some places carry a small selection of ~$1 malt-o-meal "trial size" bags that are probably, idk, 5 or 6 decent servings, 2 to 3 big ass servings, maybe lists like 7 or 8 servings in a bag).
Good sale price of brand name sweet cereals (Post, General Mills seem to go on sale and have coupons most often, with Kellogg's lagging behind) here are usually about 1.29 to 1.90 now after pandemic. Those are generally frequent and plentiful. Just tonight got a box of Post Ore-O's (a rare find on sale here) and Post Honeycomb (also rarely find Honeycomb on sale) at Kroger for 1.79. It was a random splurge, not an amazing sale price in general for cereal, but certainly not horrible post-pandemic. I used to only get cereal if it was 90 cents a box or less, and deals were plentiful. But those times are gone lol.
And there you have it - an absolute epic on farking garbage-for-you sugary cereals that no one asked for.
But when everyone sucks, your boss is an ass, you're hungry but you're exhausted and way too tired and depressed to cook.... Cinnamon toast crunch is there for you. Reese's Puffs has your back. Captain Crunch may shred the roof of your mouth and make you fat, but he never gonna give you up or let you down. As long as you remembered to buy milk.
If you were having trouble finding it
