I got this last time it was for sale I've used it maybe 4 time already. It's been great, from full empty tire to 35 psi worked great. But make sure you have a full battery, if it dies during a refill it will completely deflated the item you're trying to fill. 🤦
It's really sad that you are so bored with life and small of a person that the highlight of your day is to troll Ryobi threads.
I used to have this mindset. Then I realized that as a regular Joe DIY-er I do not often push my tools to their limit the way a contractor that uses them daily might and that my livelihood is in no way tied to tool reliability. Once I realized that, I determined that the relatively small incremental performance boost from XYZ brand was not worth the sometimes significant increase in cost. But maybe you are a contractor and your livelihood is tied to it. Or maybe you have more disposable income and like to buy more expensive tools. Im sure there are 100 other reasons why you might not like Ryobi aside from one broke on you once. But in any event, thread crapping just because of a brand reminded me of the old Ford vs Chevy and made me laugh, so I typed this message. Have a good day.

Not really a deal, bare tool was available multiple times for $40 or less (both at HD and DTO). 2 Ah battery is not worth $30. And this inflator really benefits from using 4 Ah battery (I have one, and with 2 Ah battery it is anemic)
Yeah, I think I got the bare tool for $30-40 from DTO so this doesn't seem that great a price.

The inflator is good though - faster than the cheap 12v socket ones, and can handle 70+psi tyres. It'll turn off once it gets to the set pressure which is nice.

Also useful for inflatables/inner tubes at the lake, or air beds.

and its loud as...

But it does work, although I just ordered a 60 gallon air compressor, so hopefully just use that from now on.
Yes it loud but it's a compressor with out a tank. Lol.. your new 60 gal will be quiet when it's only fill, but if it becomes empty I assure you it's much louder.

But definitely not a deal breaker when, your stuck someplace with a flat and you do a plug fix. You're not going to have your 60 gallon air compressor this thing is made to be portable. Lmao

I don't think this is the best price, but I love that inflator as someone who rides a bike. Can set destination psi and it fills to it. Portable. I use it sparsely, maybe once a month, for 2 years so far. So it looking like a winner.

very true Frown

I have a viair portable 12v plug'er in type one that I used to use before the ray-yo-beee, that doesn't seem as loud, but maybe its not pushing as much air, not sure Smilie

Good call with the 60 gallon air compressor! Not only will it be quieter and more portable than the Ryobi, it is also cheaper! Now that is a slick deal!

Yesterday you were up talking $1 dollar bread in lieu of a bread maker, today you're dogging Ryobi. You're an Enigma! laugh out loud

I'm not trolling, I have real tools and personally have had ryobi failed on me
I like Ryobi because they are innovative and fairly inexpensive to try their different products. So I have probably 10+ Ryobi products and I have Milwaukee for handyman work. The brand loyalty idea is so dumb. Personally having Ryobi products fail does not mean it's universal. I've had to submit for warranty claim for both brands.

I have this great inflater however the end is a twist on which is a little bit more inconvenient when trying to just quickly pump a bike tire or car a few psi then I would recommend the trigger version. However I have both and this one is more convenient to set and forget if you're pumping a lot of air into a car tire. I've been looking for an adapter but after being the wrong one I haven't searched for another one yet.

Can you tell me where 2.0 batteries are $30 or less?

I have this and it has been used numerous times. It is a great item to have at home for putting air in almost anything.

I do not have a Ryobi set up, and I do see that this doesn't come with a battery.

Would I be able to charge this via the main device? Or will I have to purchase a charger separately?

I have purchased this exact item at least 6 times (I keep one in each car and also bought for family members who use Ryobi), each time at less than $30 at Home Depot. I completely agree with everything you said except for the last part in red. I have not done extensive testing to disprove your statement, just saying that I've not noticed any drastic difference using this tool with 1.5Ah batteries. Obviously, the total runtime will be shorter vs larger batteries, but I've never had to use this tool past its initial duty cycle rating of 5 minutes.

This inflator/deflator only has one power input and it's from a Ryobi battery, so no, you won't be able to charge the battery without a standalone battery charger.

If you do not need this right now, I highly suggest waiting it out unless you truly believe the supply chain is only going to get worse from here. Ryobi deals are the most plentiful of all the power tools and within the past year I was able to score all of my inflators for sub-$30. I have purchased two 4Ah batteries with a charger for less than $50. The combo bag with drill, impact driver, two 1.5Ah batteries, charger, and 4Ah HP battery has been $99 multiple times. There are countless other combo deals that include batteries, chargers, and tools that you might need, all the time, just search SD history. This is not a good place to start if you aren't already in the ecosystem. Like the poster above mentioned, a 2Ah battery for $30-40 is not a great deal in my opinion.
