But... there is that ASUS deal with similar specs but with a WQHD screen.
And their is that $1,500.00 deal directly from eluktronics, and I really like the stealth look with no branding with these specs....MAX-17 - Ryzen 9 5900HX, RTX 3070, 512GB SSD, 16GB RAM. I have closed my gaming laptop on a pencil and cracked my screen... purchased a new screen and followed a youtube video and installed the new screen. Point is, most of the things on the laptop can be replaced and if you are really scared, buy a warranty.

The Strix is 2022 i9 12th gen with ddr5, this is 2021 ryzen with ddr 4.
While this is a 3080, and the Strix is 3070ti, the cpu will bottleneck the 3080 well below the 3070ti with the 12th gen i9.

The intel CPU is roughly 11% faster.
But as someone has stated... we want a 17.3" screen.
And the intel CPU is so new that very few laptops have implemented them. And the rumors are out that the next gen AMD will be like 40% faster and can take the gaming crown as well, this CPU is suppose to be out in the 3rd quarter... I wonder if they will make it for Xmas?
