As for the battery, I'd prefer one battery with indicator lights over two without, so that sweetens this a pinch for me, since almost all the newer kits include 2 x 1.5 Ah non-indicator batteries.

I've never noticed a difference with my drills, jigsaw, or most other hand tools. (Aside from the obvious runtime differential.). Using the drill the lighter weight battery is actually nice.
