LG OLED 55" A1 new lowest price ever for a brand new one. If you have a Microcenter nearby, this is a steal.
Don't listen to those saying C1 is significantly better, only gamers say that. For all of us that want a beautiful screen for movies, sports, and TV shows...this is just as good as C1.

"The LG A1 OLED is a new entry-level OLED released in 2021. It delivers nearly identical picture quality to the more expensive OLEDs, like the LG C1 OLED, but it's limited to a 60Hz refresh rate, lacks HDMI 2.1, and doesn't support variable refresh rate technology (VRR). Like all OLEDs, it looks amazing in a dark room, with nearly perfect contrast and perfect black uniformity. It comes with the same updated Magic Remote as the C1, and the smart interface is just as smooth, running the latest version of webOS."

I suppose for regular tv and movies but not for gaming.
$899 seems to be the cheapest price so far but I have the luxury of being able to wait. I want to grab these for in the 7s or even lower if possible. HEHEHE That way this TV would be worth it to me.
Hope this rolls down to their open box and refurbs. Could make for a nice deal on those, finally. 55" has always been too high vs. 65" imho.
Not really. The c1 is brighter and if you have any light coming into your room the a1 might look dull.

I regret to inform you that 60hz and 120hz are not extremely similar
For movie watching...they are identical
There are a few A1s out there floating around with EVO panels much like there are a bunch of C1s with it out there. I checked a 77" A1 service menu and confirmed it. Of course, there are some reports that all 2021 77" size shipped with Evo panels regardless of model so it may just be because of that.
Of course every person's experience will be different. My experience is that our A1 is bright enough to set off our indoor camera's motion sensors from time to time, even during the day. We paid $900 for our A1 as a Best Buy open box unit, and it's worth every penny (and more).

Well, I upgraded from an older oled that had similar level of brightness than the a1 and I notice the difference in pop especially during the day. I mean if you're saving a lot of money ok. But for $200 id get the c1 also you can go to Costco and compare them side by side which I did at some point. It is noticeable now is that worth the price difference up to you
