About as good as you can do on a high torque for the price if you can't get your hands on an old 3ah Octane battery

This comes with the MaxOutput battery that provides almost identical results, so it's not much loss not having an Octane battery.

Have to be strong and not buy this, again. Keep hoping the Mid Trq impact would be offered with the 4ah Max bat.

Bought this last time, works great, but it's my first power tool. Overkill for me, as I'm just a DIYer, but couldn't pass it up for the price and warranty.

Now I'm looking for a deal on a power ratchet, but all I see are impacts lol

I got this last time it was $199 (a week or two ago) and tested it on some leaf spring bolts on my rusty 2500 farm truck. Spun out laughably easy...I may not use this as much as I use the mid torque, but I know that when I need it I'll be happy that I own it.

I've been using my mid-torque extensively with the regular 4 Ah battery for about 3 years now, hasn't let me down. The only nut/bolt that even put up a fight was one of the original axle nuts on my wife's very high millage (340K) car, but after about 20 seconds it was triumphant! I don't think these big impact wrenches are of much use to homeowners and shade-tree mechanics. Still I have to resist the urge... must resist!... must resist!...

You're almost certainly correct, but to me, if it solves one or two problems that I would have either busted a bolt or had to break out the O/A torch to fix per year it's worth the 200 clams.

My first Ridgid tool was the mid torque, I got it because it was cheaper and lighter and I didn't have a need for something stronger.
1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 drive brushless ratchets are coming later this year.

I bought a Ryobi 1/2 impact wrench for myself for Christmas 2020. OMG! How did I live so long without such an awesome tool. But I've almost burnt it out and it has a burning smell when I use it now.

Ever heard of a torque stick? Look 'em up. I got an 80 ft lb torque stick for when I put my lug nuts back on. Now I don't have to get out my torque wrench. So much easier.

Would be a great deal if it came with Octane batteries or if Octane batteries were even still available. They will be giving these away shortly cause no one is buying them.

As fyi this thing is big and heavy. Don't expect it to fit anywhere and hold on tight cause it'll twist your wrist. Highly recommend though !

This and the mid torque Milwaukee stubby or dewalt should be all you need for home car stuff.
