tempting because of 12th gen but the reviews seems not very positive
The laptop is actually reasonably priced when you consider that it comes with 12th Gen processor and DDR5 RAM.
The previous TUF Dash laptops weren't that great, I agree, but the last one (2021) was decent and this one is even better.

Display is main concern which is the same 45% NTSC 250 nits display with over 20ms response time. You should be looking for the 300 Hz panel having 100% sRGB, same panel the 2021bRog Strix series have. For gaming, this has a lower 90W TGP 3060 which can boost up to 105W Max. For a $1250 laptop, it's a bit low.

Reviews on amazon are mixed between this and previous Asus TUF Dash F15 models, also from different sellers (not just Amazon but third party sellers, which are most likely the ones who gave out said defective laptops), but this one is being sold & shipped by Amazon themselves.
Yeah I know that very well.
This is still a deal because it hasn't been posted yet. So for someone out there who wants the latest machine, it's a deal. Just not a slick one.

Damn just picked up my ROG Zephyrus 14 from BB but haven't opened it. This is the same price. Should I return?
A bit of a tough choice, you might say, because the screen on the zephyrus is much much better than what's on this. Speaking of which, this one has a 15.6" VS 14" on the zephyrus.
However, apart from that this one has a better processor and RAM, higher refresh rate, and a mux switch. The wattage of the GPU is better/higher on this one. This also has a thunderbolt.
It depends on if you want either of these two primarily for gaming and less productivity or vice versa. If gaming is your main goal, I'd go with this one. If you want a machine to be used for productivity and a bit of gaming on the side, then I'd choose the zephyrus.
