If you want a bike that should be able to fly, go look at Yeti, Santa Cruz, or Pivot bikes...their cheapest models cost more than this and their bikes can get into the 5 figures
https://www.backcountry
(Notice that even that extremely expensive thing is almost completely sold out--only 1 medium left in stock).
For example, the Santa Cruz Hightower Carbon R build is pretty similar to the Intense 951 Trail in termps of parts and intended use. The Hightower Carbon frame alone sells for $3699, and the R build costs $5k (and is low stock/sold out most places).
For 5k, you get the same drivetrain, similar mediocre wheels (with an old-style hyperglide cassette), arguably worse brakes, similar-level suspension...but you do get a prettier paint job and the Santa Cruz name.
But Intense is not some no-name chinese company. They are a real CA based bike company and are standing behind the 951 brand and offering a 5 year warranty.
Plus you've got the added bonus of the Costco return policy. If you have a problem with the bike and Intense won't help you out to your satisfaction, costco will take it back any time.

I can get a Specialized bike for $3500,tax included...I do mostly trail biking
Please, let me know what do you think?
The Specialized Epic has better components and a lighter fork and will be an overall lighter bike.
The intense XC is about 27lbs or so for a medium with pedals - they have a YouTube video showing it. I believe it's also with tubes.
The specialized will also be lighter. I'd guess maybe by 4 pounds. It's more of a light XC race bike.
intense is a solid bike and with dual suspension it's quite fast. It's more of a true XC bike that is even DH capable.
I had one - ended up returning it. Because I just didn't ride it. I had high hopes of riding 2x a week and it was once in 3 months.
Both will have good resale.

That specialized has a high end build spec (several levels above what is on the Intense 951 bikes), but it is only a hardtail and the front suspension is way shorter than even the 951 XC
What kind of trails do you ride? Do you race?
Honestly, if you don't already know the answer to this question, you probably aren't ready to spend this much on a bike. Gotta do more research on what your local trails are like and what kind of riding you want to do. A hardtail with a 90-100mm fork is going to feel super bumpy compared to the 120mm XC and totally different from the 140/150mm Trail.
Also, do you want a used high end carbon bike with no warranty? I'm assuming the specialized is used since you linked to a 2019 model. The intense bikes aren't as nice, but they have bigger suspension and they are brand new with a full warranty.

Specialized frame is less then 2 Lb's(about 800 grams). Also manufactory suggested price is almost $6000. I can basically get this bike at a store owner's cost.
I also do alot of citi(boardwalk) biking as well.I need a light, speedy trail bike...
I've really wanted to build up a steel or titanium hard tail, but don't feel like going on a treasure hunt for parts after securing the frame.

775 grams
Specialized claims the S-Works Epic Hardtail frame is the lightest production frame in the world, weighing in at a scant 775 grams for a size medium.

Dual suspension bikes are just way more capable. My bike climbs extremely well and I love it even it doesn't have the latest and [supposedly] greatest slacker geometry.
It's the rider, not the bike. If you don't weigh 125 lbs, have 5% body fat and are racing CAT-1s, nobody needs a hardtail that light.
Tiny gripes: wanted a bigger front disc, dropper doesn't seems as buttery smooth as my aftermarket PNW, bottom bracket guard isn't attached with great adhesive, tires are okay but could be wider. Minor stuff.
One final anecdote, but I'm not sure I blame Intense: on a recent climb, I shifted straight through about 3 gears to my climbing gear and it hopped the cassette and the derailleur went into the spokes. Seems like an adjustment issue, and the derailleur is SRAM (so obviously not Intense's product) so I figured I should have checked the adjustment more frequently. It had been shifting fine previously for several months. Slightly bent the derailleur hanger
