Basically, Amazon has a reputation of some sellers selling fake Samsung SD cards, that look like real ones. I've never gotten a fake card from Amazon, but I've read of plenty of other people that have. The fake cards will be made cheaper, and might not have the full capacity advertised. I've gotten a fake 128GB card from eBay before. It showed as 128GB when plugged into a computer. But when I tried to put more than 10GB of data on it, it kept corrupting the SD card. I got my money back, because it was clearly a fake drive and I had the evidence. Besides the storage problems, the font style, color, and size of the text on the card was slightly off from my other, legitimate SD cards. They're also slower and less reliable.
Anyways, this tool looks like it checks if your SD card is authentic, so if it isn't, you can file for a return on your purchase.
For anyone that knows a lot about DJI Mavic drones... would this work well with the DJI Mavic 2(?) one from Newegg? Or is there a certain storage size that is best for this?

When these drives become a miniature size; it is highly likely that we will lose these in the long run or will vanish before our naked eyes. I would always buy bite sized flash drive
Have NEVER lost a card in my life. I like to think I can handle not losing a memory card
I never knew that tool existed until about a year ago when someone else posted it in another deal thread. I have 10 of these Samsung Evo Select cards that's I've purchased over the past few years and I checked all 10 of them with Samsung's Authentication Utility and it they were all valid. With all of the posts on Slickdeals over the years about fake Samsung cards from Amazon I was expecting at least half of them to be fake. I don't if I'm just lucky or if others are exaggerating about fake Samsung SD cards on Amazon.
