I have both this fiskars and a regular old 'V' weed puller. All that fancy curved metal is a gimmick. Imo if you need one this is fine. If you already have a regular weed puller don't go out and buy this one as well. Pulling weeds sucks no matter what you use. Best thing to do is pull weeds when the ground is wet. You might not even need a tool for that.
And fiskars warranty is the best, hands down. Just send them a pic of the item in question and they ship a new one. Easiest warranty EVER
Active ingredient mesotrione has potential toxicological effects on pollinators. We need insects in the ground and in the air, and so do the birds. The best "chemicals" for home lawn care are a gin and tonic while you sit and enjoy nature and use your hand weeder!

Hori hori is too sharp and I have to be cautious around sprinkler lines with that type of blade.
What hori hori do you have that you like?

what kind of kids actually help do anything?!

Our KR bluestem simply shrugs off tenacity and any other PE. glyph has been working but when dead they leave a large footprint and it's easier for me to just rip it up while alive (post glyph but pre-brown) and wet.

I use a long screwdriver and just loosen the dirt around the weeds and pull them out root and all easy peasy. You do not need a fancy weed puller. Just my opinion.

I have a fiskar hori. It's a nice knife with a durable hip holster. It's a nice all around tool but I avoid using it for weeds. It's too sharp and pointed and I'll wind up poking holes in my hidden sprinkler drip lines.

The fiskar weeder is safer because it's not sharp. It's my best weeding tool because I don't like disturbing too much soil as I pull the weeds out gently from the soil. It allows me to pull out the entire root.

Everything else I tried leaves a freakin crater.

Thanks! I'm at the point where I'm ok with craters and broken ankles. I have all this confidence from catching the tentworms hatching on my struggling tree so now my focus is on the Censored dallisgrass and bluestem.

Really? I wasn't aware. I have handheld Fiskars pruning shears that stick closed every time I cut, or even just close the shears. They don't automatically open anymore. I've tried lubes. I wonder if Fiskars covers that. I may check into that. Thanks!

I use an old hacksaw blade. I have a small handle that attaches on one end.

We get it. A pair of chopsticks will work but this is far from the worse 7 dollars you'll spend.

Works pretty well from what I can tell, watching my kids pull up weeds.
