I've got these in 30lb and 45lb pairs and am quite disappointed with both. My 30s actually measure at 29.9 and 32.6. And the 45s weigh in at 45.2 and 47.1. Not worried about the 0.1 and 0.2 pound variances, but the other two annoy the hell out of me -- especially the 32.6, which certainly must be out of tolerance given that it should round to the next weight increment up at that point. I confirmed these weights on three different scales to be sure it wasn't my scale's fault.

In both sets, the bigger offender has slightly different physical dimensions too, where the handle is slightly longer and the font is larger but narrower. Leads me to believe these are made in multiple factories, with little attention paid to overall consistency and quality control. I stopped buying Cap's rubber-coated dumbbells after my experience with these.

For what it's worth, I have several other Cap dumbbells in the standard (non-rubber-coated) cast iron variety, and all of those are within 0.1lb of claimed weight.

Recently moved into a new house and now getting many heavy deliveries (including weights for the gym) as we furnish it. I leave a big Sterilite container filled with Gatorade, Monster energy, water, Jerky, Trail Mix, PowerBars, ect and a thank you sign for them on the porch. They mentioned appreciating it.

60lb OOS, unfortunately. Good deal on 45 & 50, though.

Not poor. He gets his exercise at work and saves gym membership fees. Although I'm pretty sure I've heard him swearing as he delivers 40lb boxes of cat litter to my front door.

Lol I would have just bought a bunch of the same sets and return the ones that aren't within my tolerance. If it's going to be in your house, might as well have it exactly the way you want it.

I'd go so far as to bring a scale to the store. You'll look stupid, but your weights will be sweeeet.

I actually didn't bother to weigh them until I'd had them for months. Kept feeling like one side felt sliiiightly heavier, but thought it was in my head. Had I known earlier, I would have returned them.

Now that I know, it absolutely bugs the hell out of my OCD-ness. If the workout uses both dumbbells, I'll swap sides mid-set just to be "balanced". Or I'll make sure to do an even number of sets, switching sides each set. Haha.

Most adjustable sets can't be dropped. The only one I would consider if you are going to drop weights is iron master, but it is slower to adjust the weights than other brands.
