Had some clogging issues with a bathroom sink today. After using the unclogging liquids, that didn't help, a plumber just took a plunger to it and it unclogged. Yes a plunger. Just like it was a toilet. It worked. So try it out fellas. Took a few times to get all that junk out but it worked.

But he is not wrong. We had badly clogged bathroom sink. I poured a lot of drain opener down the sink several times but it did not open. My 20 year-old-son decided to teach himself how to remove the old metal trap, clear the clog and replace with plastic pipes while his parents were out. He did great job and the sink has been working well without any issues since then. I am very grateful he could fix the clog and replace the pipes to prevent future issues.

There's no need for this. Save your money and your plumber's skin. Just buy a small snake or just learn to remove your trap, clean it out and reinstall.

Yes, a mini plunger has worked for me; however, a little of that water could squirt out under the sink - where the drain stopper meets the pipe. Small price to pay vs using harmful chemicals.

When I had a clog… only thing that worked was an expensive electrical powered snake. First tried drano before calling the plumber. Waste of money as it didn't do anything.

Not sure how this stuff works, and what exact problems it is good against (hair, soap, fat). I just know when I used it I was not too impressed (meaning, I used it on "slow drains" and I am still not sure if it worked).

One thing I know when I got a big clog in my kitchen sink that I was unable to remediate with plunger (!) and boiling water and half hour of elbow grease, then I tried what I could find in the closet, and that happened to be a lot of baking soda and a lot of vinegar. The clog was gone in less than half hour of wait!

Again, I am not saying my solution will be good against any clogs, but I am not buying this stuff anymore unless I find a good reason.

Several years ago, when my kitchen sink clogged up pretty badly, a plumber advised me to clean out the drain with Drano every two or three months, just as a preventative measure. I actually only do it about once a year, but no problems so far. And this SlickDeal reminded me that it's time to do it again. Here's my process:

Step 1. Pour Drano down the kitchen drain.
Step 2. Boil some water.
Step 3: Put spaghetti noodles in the water and boil them until they're cooked.
Step 4. Pour the boiling water into the drain to wash the Drano out.
Step 5. Add meat, sauce, and cheese to the cooked spaghetti noodles.
Step 6: Enjoy your dinner.

Thanks and repped.

Please do not use this kind of product. The best way to unclog is using shop vacuum (if you have one). Make sure using blowing mode not sucking mode. You can find some demonstration videos on youtube.

I have used so many bottles but never worked even if I followed the direction. But shop vacc. works awesome

Why the hell would I go through the trouble of getting a shop vacuum?
My bathroom sink clogs once or twice a year.
Snaking doesn't work.
All the environmentally friendly bullshit that gets posted in these threads either don't work or are vastly more expensive (eg Green gobbler vs Drano price).
Pouring down a bottle of this works, every single time.

You do not have to go buy the shop vacc if that causes too much trouble in ur life. I just give out my honest experiences.
