Fabric Type
98% Polyester, 2% Spandex。

"wicks moisture away ", I don't think this works without at least 50% of cottons.

I'd prefer Member's Mark brand from Sam's Club 10 pk for $11.98. Fabric: 75% cotton, 14% nylon, 4% rayon, 2% spandex, 4% polyester, 1% polypropylene

I'm tired of all these manufacturers pushing products made out of cheap polyester crap with all their creative marketing techniques...Double dry? because it's better than single dry..? The world reminds me more and more of the movie Idiocracy, "It's got electrolytes!"

Huh? Cotton is terrible at wicking moisture. There's a reason athletic wear isn't made from 100% cotton. I would stay far away from even a 50% cotton running shirt.

Did you mean merino wool?

For people like me who wear work boots, cotton is the best. Where will the Polyester wick the moisture away to? My feet feels and smells better with cotton.

Yeah, I'm not saying buy polyester socks, just questioning the quoted notion of wicking. I prefer merino and then cotton. Not polyester. But cotton is terrible at wicking so if you are looking for wicking please ignore the advice I quoted.

Cotton absorbs moisture and holds onto it. Polyester is much less absorbent. When polyester is skin tight (like a sock) it allows sweat to pass through it and theoretically evaporate quicker. The problem, of course, is that socks are inside of shoes, so that theoretical evaporation is greatly reduced.

Comparatively, loose polyester clothing acts more like wearing a trash bag.

I bought these last time. They are a VERY slim and snug fit and I have skinny feet as it is. Might want to go a size larger than normal.

Moisture wicking means cheap polyester anymore.

I don't know why this comment got downvoted other than ignorance. TAsunder is right, cotton is terrible at wicking moisture. Go have a look at the Under Armor website and tell me what you see their $80 "wicking" clothes are made of? Spoiler, it's polyester. Why? Polyester exceeds at moisture pass through, is a much lighter fabric meaning no showing through a shirt using lighter weight material. So why cotton. As mentioned here, where can you wick water (sweat) to in a work boot? Here is where cotton excels (for this purpose we are talking about very thick high quality cotton socks), it's thick and durable, has excellent moisture retention, and is very durable (when woven tightly and correctly). The other school of thought on 100% cotton, say for a work shirt, is that cotton is very good at holding moisture as I've said. So anyone working outside can pre-wet their shirt, or sweat it up, either way, and cotton will have some evaporative cooling effect.
