I'm probably 7 years into owning Ridgid tools. I've yet to use the LSA. This deal seems too good to pass up, regardless of the LSA (or lack thereof).

I just assumed the whole kit is considered recon. Your receipt will show recon kit and not "new" batteries, so even if new my guess is they are classified as recon.

Oh well.... some people will whine over anything and everything. For homeowners and others that do not use their tools a lot, that LSA is nice for both batteries and tools.

On the other hand, I am old enough to have seen several tool manufactures disappear, or discontinue items along with their lifetime warranties.

I'd personally consider holding out for the subcompact set and pair it with the full sized hammer drill. I wish I had.

Edit: Oh, this is the subcompact! It's just not posted in the title. Great deal.

No it is not. DTO is a licensed dealer so the LSA is honored if you buy "blemished" but not "reconditioned".

I just saw this in-store at Home Depot on sale for 139.99 and confirmed on website. I'm in the midwest and will get another 11% off by purchasing in-store and submitting for the rebate they use to compete with Menards.

Exactly. Go for it, I have the same kit (actually I have two of them, but that's another story) I paid $80 for shipped on ebay. It's a great kit and both tools have plenty of power and feel great in the hand.
