The unfortunate reality is: Stadia is dying. It sucks because I like the service however I highly recommend you invest your money on something more reliable like GeForce now or game pass.

The olny viable cloud gaming services are Shadow and Geforce Now. All the others are putting choke holds on their customers with limited access, tiered pay to play and holding avaiable games for special events and so on. They do this because that's just how it has always been, which has garnered huge profits in the past. None of them seem to have any foresight and will all fail unless they adopt similar stratagies as Shadow and GN.

Legitimately enjoy Stadia but they need to invest in more cross progress games like Destiny 2 and up the graphics slider just a smidge. Lack of FOV options and ESO with a draw distance to rival the N64 Superman game are not a great look.

I found it funny that people are recommending bad services like GeForce Now. Just like Stadia, GeForce Now suffers from game selection. After linking up my accounts, less than half my library was available. On top of that GeForce Now practically require monthly subscription.

I do agree that it seems Google gave up on Stadia. Very few releases.

It seems to me Amazon Luna is taking over the lead in this segment. They recently released Yakuza 0, 7 (Like a Dragon), Judgment, Lost Judgment, Kingdom Come Deliverance as well as many other good titles. Lost Judgment is a surprise as it is relatively new only released last year and Luna is literally the only streaming platform that has it.

I'm debating if I should pay my $10 to Amazon now to play Lost Judgment or wait for a deal as Amazon frequently gives free trial or discounts to Prime members who have not used their new services.

If Stadia fails, I just hope they can unlock the controller for non-Stadia use.

As far as I know it can already be used for non-Stadia if you use a wired connection.
It should work similar to the Logitech F310 wired.
Wireless connection is probably not possible for non-Stadia.
