The legion is without a doubt much better if they have similar specs. Better airflow, non-proprietary parts, better thermals, better warranty.
Dell usually offers a 1 year limited warranty on most of their desktops, sometimes its less and sometimes its more but usually its about 1 year. Legion is Lenovo's brand and usually sold at Costco, you can stack on cashback and extend warranty just from that alone with certain cards.
Just to clarify, this is if you found a similar spec legion "desktop". I would not buy a laptop unless you needed the portability. Gaming laptops are some of the biggest waste of money since you're paying a premium for less components.

What's difference in performance vs like a Legion 5 with same specs?
The Legion 5 has better cooling out of the box. The CPU cooler in the Dell XPS needs to replaced with a tower cooler. Otherwise, you will get CPU thermal throttling in games. But Lenovo has terrible driver support for the older Legion 5 PCs that came with Intel 10th Gen CPUs. Basically, you get crashes to blue screens if you update your PC to the latest Nvidia drivers. Not sure, if the newer Legion 5 PCs that come with Intel 11th Gen CPUs will have the same issues latter down the road.
It's 1-3 years depending on the specific product but if you bought a legion system from say Costco and paid it with your Costco Citi card, you can add on an extra 24 months of warranty on top.
