Good:
* Components don't generate a lot of heat, so despite having a crap case, it didn't get very loud.
* It's pretty cheap. If you sign up for an employee account and then use perks at work dot com, you can get 10% back plus the employee discount. That will get you around the $850 range, which means you're getting the GPU for around MSRP (and Windows for free). There's another big cash back site offering 8% right now too.
Bad
* Proprietary mobo, PSU, and case. If either break, you'll just need to replace all three, which could be expensive.
* Only two RAM slots and 1 SSD slot. You'll have to ditch the included stuff to upgrade. You could put the 256gb in a NVMe to PCIe 1x adapter, although it would be slower.
* No XMP support. This only accepts JEDEC timings, so make sure to get native JEDEC 3200 sticks. Otherwise Ryzen Master might work.
* Limited BIOS. You can only overclock in Ryzen Master. In fact, HP probably lowers the PPU below AMD spec so your chip might run slightly slower.

EDIT-
Now $839 with EPP for the 3060 ti config. Not too shabby

I hope this is the start of a flood, based on the GPU availability over the last couple weeks.

Developers struggle to utilize more cores. The world was in a 4 core meta for what like 10 years?
Each year these cpus become substantially more efficient. For the first time one long time we are seeing real competition in the cpu market. Enjoy it. The 5600, 5600g, and 5600x are good buys.
Unless you are doing content creation or running VMs the performance increase per dollar for more cores isn't worth it.

Even if this thing has poor ventilation, pull it all out and mount it on a board. This is good frames for the money and it's a good sign of things to come.
