Usb-c is the connector type whereas usb 3.2 is transfer speed.

3.2 is faster than 3.1, 3.0, etc. but you'd need the same type port to get the speed advantage. USB-C is faster and a different shape port.
Not at all, it's just the connector format, only 3.2 gen 2 drive has potential to be faster, this is the usual budget slow.

Thanks, good deal on a 32gb flash drive. But, the link is for the usb-c version, then there's a standard USB A 3.2 32gb version, and the one I chose, a 64gb version for slightly less $/gb, also with free ship!

32gb USB-C $3.88 linky [connection.com]
32gb USB-A $3.88 linky [connection.com]
64gb USB-C $6.46 linky [connection.com]
64gb USB-A $6.46 linky [connection.com]

Am I missing something or do the pics show two different drives, one that's USB-C and one with an A connector? The linked drive is C only, no?

I am retiring a few utility USB drives and this fits nice. I don't need large size in fact I need them smaller so they can be FAT32 format which is better supported in some IoT and embedded stuff like car system. And slower speed is not a big concern. Thanks OP.
