How much of a difference is there between this Soundbar system then the other Vizio Soundbar 5.1 system from Gamestop at $349..??

Would one be better then the other for a vaulted ceiling family room???

Great price. I got this open box from Best Buy a year or so ago and am very happy with this.

I've read this model also has some of the numerous intermittent bugs found on their other models. My parents Panasonic soundbar from 2012 has worked perfectly with not a single issue, ever. What's wrong with Vizio?

This has gotten fair reviews elsewhere. Would this be a notable improvement over my 5 year old Vizio 5.1?

Been waiting for this type of price drop for months now. BestBuys had two left near me and price match it. They didn't seem to happy dropping it from $999 to $659!

It did have some issues, but they are mostly fixed after last several firmware updates. Since the January update, I have no issue so far. It sounds really well. I don't think your parents Panasonic soundbar from 2012 has Atmos support or even eARC connection.

I got mine when it was just released for $700 at Bestbuy, Then it went down to $600 on Cyber Monday 2020. I don't see they have problem in price matching top $659.

It depends-Vizio Elevate can adjust angle for up firing speakers in Dolby Atmos mode. FYI- The Vizio is too powerful at times-must lower the Subwoofer settings.

Vizio's sound bar issues have nothing to do with Atmos or eARC, but my parents' soundbar does have ARC and CEC and that works flawlessly .

But good to know the issues have been worked out. I will check I out AVS forum for the latest verdict.

I've had this for about a year now. I got an open box for similar price. I am very happy with the sound quality. There were some bugs initially especially with setting it up over bluetooth/wifi... but firmware updates solved all the issues I can think of.

I did not say the Elevate has issue with Atmos or eARC. I said your parents Panasonic has neither, although it has ARC. You can get a simple 2.1 channel old style bar that has no issue at all, but what is the point for comparison? My bicycle is also more reliable than my car.
