This is the prior version of the Ring doorbell. The Ring Protect subscription is $100 value alone, making the final cost of the doorbell $50 which is $10 lower than the prior front page deal.

I found this in my local warehouse today B&M for $99.97, essentially making the cost of the Ring doorbell FREE. Packaging does say for new subscribers only. YMMV on the $100 price, and $150 price is available online.

Can this be stacked with a paid, grandfathered plan?

I have the same question. I'm on the Ring Protect+ First Gen plan.

I think the official is no. I bought a second house last year and I was able to extend this to a second location on my same account, but I do not think I would be able to extend a current subscription. Could be wrong so don't hold me to it. The box has a sticker attached to it that says "*Ring Protect offer is not applicable for locations with an existing Ring Protect subscription."

Thanks for letting me know. Saved me a purchase and a return.

OP, Are you by any chance in the Bay Area? $99.97 seems like an amazing deal. Hope I can find it for that much at my warehouse as well.

Illinois. Visited 2 locations today and only found it at 1. Location I found it at had it for $149.97 previously in store so this is a recent price reduction

I don't think so. In the past, the only way to stack is to cancel your susbscription and then add this subscription. But if you do that now, you won't be grandfathered anymore. You definitely don't want that.

Also, this is for video only I believe. The grandfathered plan has alarm monitoring, so you wouldn't want to stack a grandfathered plan with alarm to a video only plan anyways.

Is this subscription just for videos or does it include the alarm monitoring service?

Video only. Pricing model changed a few months back where alarm went to $200 annual fee. Ring grandfathered existing customers in and now that is long gone. This is for video only which is a $100 value… alarm is now $200.

RIP to the old plan. I bought 2 of these (Doorbell 2 with Ring Protect from Costco in 2020) when it was $100 and included a year of the old Plus plan (the key features now in the $200 plan). I returned my 2nd unit because I was afraid it would kill my grandfathered plan and decided that was not worth it.

If I buy two of these, then can I use "ring protect plus" for two year? I plan to use one for the first year and the second for the second year professional monitoring.

Eufy is good, I like the quality of their videos but their movement detection still needs work. Ring does a superior job in that category.
