Lifetime for THE COMPUTER you install this on. It's non-transferrable. (Updates are apparently included) I'm seeing regular price between $69-99.

The free updates don't include upgrades.
IOW, when Office 2024 (or whatever) comes out you don't get to upgrade to it. However, you will still receive security, bug, and critical updates to your Office 2021 for the life of the product (thru Oct 13, 2026).

Also, read the ONE COMPUTER part as something that you control. If a computer that you had this Office 2021 on dies, you are fully able to license the same Office 2021 on a new computer, provided you log into your Microsoft account and remove the old computer activation. It's a full retail license that is fully transferrable - as long as it's only on one computer at a time.

Also², If you already have (or have had) a Microsoft account tied to a subscription Microsoft product (Office365/Microsoft365) Microsoft may not allow you to use that account for perpetual products (although this isn't explained when you try to use it). Just create a new, free Microsoft account and activate it that way. You can use the key you receive for any valid email address (regardless of the email address you enter when purchasing the Office 2021 Pro).

I purchased from here in mid April. Last week my installation suddenly restricted my access as unlicensed. I called Microsoft support and they tried to help but unable to saying something to the effect this was MSDN licensed and ultimately I would have to contact the seller. I do not recommend this deal.

Thanks OP. I bought from softkey for 25.99 after applying the 35% code. I received the license redeem key immediately on the order confirmation screen. Logged into MS account and redeemed the key. The Office 2021 got added to my account, no problems or hiccups, smooth install.

Dang. So money is tight and I'd use the Office suite about 99% of the time for hobbies. Right now I'm using Google Docs/Sheets which gets the job done but it doesn have quite the features.

I got the home and business 2021 for mac and it works. However, on sites like amazon, the office home and business 2021 can be used for mac or pc. Has anybody been able to use this link's home and business 2021 for PC?
