I've run across that on a couple credit cards. I've also seen when they provide a digital card initially and those purchases not count toward a bonus. They usually spell it out in the terms of the bonus though.
There's only a $500 minimum balance requirement for the basic biz account. You probably shouldn't have that much sitting there making nothing. At the very least, transfer out the 6k and then worry about closing it at some point.
