Poor contrast and really low brightness (400 nits max in HDR). For this price, you're much better off with a TCL 5 series.
This is sonys low end big tv. It is made to compete with vizio and tcl and such. You get what you pay for. Go for one with at least a 120hz refresh rate native.
60hz native, ips panel so your sacrificing alot of contrast here, no local dimming.

If you care about good quality movie viewing, get one with some kind of "local dimming."

Or the Hisense H9G that's been available recently for the same price. Has 1000 nits, 120 Hz (@1080p) and local dimming. I've got one of those on order.

Same price at Target but you can save an additional $35 with the 5% Red Card discount. I was waiting on x85j to hit $799, but got lucky on the Amazon Truck deal on x90j for $948 (after additional 5% credit card rebate ).
