Can't you convert gold into gamepass ultimate for $1 too? It's pretty damn good deal. Just create a new account if you've already taken the $1 gamepass offer

Thx was able to figure it out. Super cheap for 3 years of ultimate.

Here's a dumb question that I feel is justified since my 15 year old also can't figure it out - installed urban VPN, found Turkey, but have no idea how to search for the Microsoft website. How do we use the app?

I'm not interested in converting to GamePass Ultimate using a foreign region deal, I just need to renew Gold Live for an existing US account which lapsed. Can I use this deal or will it cause my Live account to have region issues? It's not clear from all of the threads using these deals to convert the Live account to the GamePass Ultimate rather than just using it for Live subscriptions.

What do you mean by "search for the Microsoft website"? Once you select Turkey as the location in Urban VPN and establish the connection by pressing the "Play" button in the middle, you should see a little key icon on the top-right corner of your phone. Now you can press the Android home button to put Urban VPN to the background. Open Chrome browser on your phone and go to redeem.microsoft.com to redeem your code.

Urban VPN is very slow right now with Turkey. You might want to try disconnecting and re-connecting VPN.

If you don't want to convert, that's perfectly fine. VPN is only needed for redeeming codes. I immediately deleted VPN extension in Chrome browser after stacking up 3-year Gold Live.

I did the $1 offer like a year ago maybe more but tried today to do the conversion and was able to do it for $1.

When you redeem the codes as Turkey location thru VPN…can you then play using your account in the U.S. ?

I've been really hoping to give the Gamepass Ultimate deal a try, but get so worried since it is says "Cannot be activated in the U.S." and I'm a noob

Load up a max of 3 years of Live Gold on your account first.
Then purchase the GPU for $1.
It then converts your gold into GPU.

I tried to do three years but it wouldn't let me add the third year. Said I was already maxed out.

Edit - forgot I already had gold. Used 2 yr and converted to game pass no prob. Works with VPN on phone. Used Windscribe (free). Anyone want a Turkey code for $20 lol

4 days is probably ok, but I wouldn't buy gray market codes off a site like Eneba and then sit on them for any real length of time.
