how it comes to $6.59 before tax with 15% S&S, I swear people report phantom inflated savings whenever they get the extra S&S

Maybe they wanted to set a record as the first manufacturer ever to charge less for a child-oriented product vs the general purpose one
I would have expected the prices to be reversed here. We use A&D and Desitin all the time, and nobody in our home is under 8.
I live in a very aired climate and I use this product nightly as a lip balm. A friend of mine gave me this tip. Since then I have passed it on to many people that were very thankful. It may sound odd, but it works.
Is this like Neosporin? Picture looks like a cream instead of an ointment.
No - Neosporin's primary active ingredients are antibiotics (Bacitracin, neomycin, polymyxin), whereas this product has mainly petrolatum. Antibiotics actively inhibit bacterial growth, while petrolatum mainly works by creating a barrier to prevent bacteria from entering a healing wound, as well as helping to allow a wound to retain moisture (which reduces scabbing/scar formation). Products like A&D are good for minor cuts/scapes where antibiotics aren't justified or if you have an allergy to one of the antibiotics in it (Yes, this can happen - I'm one of those people who goes into full blown anaphylaxis if treated with Neosporin!)

For those who has no issue with Neosporin then this seems useless, right? Will this soften my callus by any chance?

Yes, it will help, however do be aware that there's many other products that will also help soften calluses. A&D's main benefit apart from petrolatum (aka petroleum jelly or Vaseline) is the lanolin content (this is the stuff that coats sheep's wool). It's main benefit to skin is to help it retain moisture. Other products that can help soften calluses are things that contain glycerin - not only is glycerin mildly antimicrobial, but it's also excellent at helping skin retain moisture (that's why you see a lot of soap manufactured with glycerin). For a more medicinal approach, look for over-the-counter products with salicylic acid in a fairly high percentage (40% seems to be what some medical websites like the Mayo Clinic recommend). Hope this helps!
