Was approved for this card @80K signup bonus a couple weeks ago. Some notes:

This is a great card for anyone who travels or plans to soon travel!
Call your local branch and see if they offer 80K signup + first year fee waived. If you do apply in branch, allot at least 30 minutes for this Frown.
If you have a Peloton membership, note that the Preferred will credit you $60 total off fees, but I think only through June, so act quick!
I didn't get my card after a week, despite a 1-2 day delivery promise. I called in, and they said, oh, whoops, we forgot to ship it! (and they then indeed shipped it 2nd day air via UPS).
You'll get the most value from the 80K points BY FAR by transferring them strategically to airline/hotel partners (most often: United and Hyatt). Do some reading across blogs to learn more.
I know when I applied for this card, I did it in the branch and got a $125 grocery credit incentive. Basically every time I shopped at a grocery store I received a credit back until the $125 credit was maxed…. It may be worth it to call a banker & ask if they have that promo as it was only for in branch applications, not online & worth it to a trip to the bank, if you ask me!
I don't think there's been a better offer on the reserve in many years?

Outside of the SUB the CS > CSP used to be a no brainer, but with the higher AF on the CSR, and the improved benefits/earn on CSP it's a tougher choice now.

Today it's $155 more (removing the travel credit from the price difference) for CSR...

SUPER generously if we count the GE/TSA credit as $20 a year that drops it to $135/yr more for CSR.

For the $135 you get:

Priority Pass (still the good one that includes restaurants unlike Amex)

Marginally better travel insurance coverage

"free" roadside assitance (up to 4 calls a year, max $50 per call)

You do get significantly better purchase protection (10k per claim instead of $500- but then I'm buying most expensive stuff with a Citi card for 2 years of extra warranty anyway)

1.5x for your points in the travel portal vs 1.25 for CSP- but this is rarely a worthwhile use of points for most folks compare to transfers.

10x points (vs 5x on CSP) for cash spend in the travel portal or Chase Dining portals- but those again aren't frequently the ideal way to book for most folks anyway.

So as I say, when this was $35-55/yr it was easy... ONE 2 person use of priority pass at an airport restaurant more than covered this- if you get anything out of any other benefit you're golden.

At $135 it's much more marginal for many.

I signed up for this like March 17 but only got 50,000 points. Can I ask them to give me the extra 30k or is that useless?

Edit:
Contacted them through a Secure Message. Fingers crossed. Should I pay off my balance or would that deter them from giving me the points? lol

If the customer does not have credit history (international student), would this card be approved ?

If I open this CSP card, Will I be able to transfer 80K points to southwest credit card later that I am planning to open in June/July?
I doubt these points will go towards companion pass though?

Nope. They are two different reward programs. One is Ultimate Reward, while another is Rapid Reward.

Good try, but you will be disappointed. Chase has never matched signup bonus.

You must have a valid Social Security Number to apply.

This may have already been asked. If so, my apologies. I signed up for this the last time around and added my wife as an authorized user. Would she be ineligible for this since she was an authorized user when I applied?

Since card issuers can't deny you for applying with an ITIN, but they can deny you for lack of credit history. CSP is definitely not a beginner card as it requires applicants with good or excellent credit score. If you tend to start building your credit history, look for secured credit cards that require a certain amount of deposit as your credit limit. After a year as you build up your credit history, then try apply for those cards with no annual fees since these cards usually have a lower bar.

I am not sure if the rule has changed since last year, but being an AU does not disqualify her from applying her own card. Your wife's card goes under your credit profile, not hers, and thus she should be able to sign up her own card and get the bonus. Have her apply via your referral link. Chase will instantly reject her application if she is not qualified but will not affect her credit score.

Ah dang, just realized this was only for the Preferred card.

Wtf, why would the Preferred have more of a sign up bonus than the Reserve?
