The fact that you got 47 other thumbs up is pretty disgusting and everyone who decides NOT to tip for a service such as Instacart deserves all of the Karma thats coming to you.
And not lugging Cat food/litter, also worth it.

I actually considered this for liquids (cases of water, coke, seltzer) from a pure logistical standpoint (my current car is SO small) and there wasn't even close to getting the stuff on sale at the grocery store.
That said, the grocery stores here make normal car dealerships seem reasonable (don't ask about the car dealerships).
