Yeah I saw all of that. My problem was that Adorama sent the ship info and also placed a hold for the money then refunded and the ship number showed as expired. Now they took the money again and the ship number now shows as legit. Must be the way they process orders or something.

When did you place your order? Did you call them, or e-mail them or use the Live Chat to ask about your order (the order confirmation e-mail should have all your details).

They printed the label yesterday and is showing for a delivery of this coming Wednesday. Just in time for my project this weekend.

I ended up getting the 40mm f/1.4. because the reviews for the 35mm cited some distortion in images that would have to be corrected in Lightroom. From the reviews this 40mm is near perfect in that regard. Plus it's a like $300 cheaper. It is heavier and bigger but I don't mind. I know a new model is most likely to be announced but I'm sure it'll be more expensive.

40mm seems an odd focal length but I love how many reviews have stated that it is a very sharp lens.

I placed it that holiday weekend I believe. I did call and send an email. No response on email but the call confirmed the order was still active. Whatever they did with the order it's scheduled to be here tomorrow. Can't wait because everything I have read is that it is a great lens.

Best of luck with your new 40/1.4 and I hope it works out well for you. Did you have a similar prime lens like a 35mm or a 50mm? Post an update of you can about how that 40/1.4 differs from your other lenses.

This is my first prime lens. I have a 24-240mm that I travel with so I needed something for portraits, product shots, and video.

Got the lens this afternoon and my gosh this thing is awesome. The pics this thing produces are incredible. Sharp subject shots at f/1.8 and the background is a creamy bokeh. My A6400 basically just got an upgrade. Going to take it out this weekend for some neighborhood shots.

If I ever get attacked while shooting I will just hit the person with this lens. It is so heavy and big. It's not a bad thing just taken back by it's size. The lens hood is great quality and will not come off accidentally when stored or in use. The box also includes a great lens bag that puts some camera bags to shame.

All around a great purchase.
