RUN FAST AND FAR FROM THIS DEVICE

13.3" diagonal, FHD (1920 x 1080), multitouch-enabled, IPS, edge-to-edge glass, micro-edge, BrightView, Corning® Gorilla® Glass NBT™, 1000 nits, 72% NTSC, HP Sure View integrated privacy screen

You lose most brightness and visibility at ANY angle off-center. The privacy screen is hardware-based and cannot be disabled even though there is button that supposedly turns it off (which has almost no effect).

Only valid use cases are if you need a privacy filter or using this to drive an external display.

I feel like I thread-crap this model whenever it drops again but I really feel like there is some intent to hide this ill-conceived feature on HP's part hoping folks will not return because of the restocking fee.

It's good to warn people. HP laptops are garbage in general. The elitebooks are the only one's made with non-trash hardware, and I'm hearing even those have issues now. They make great servers though. Very stable. Great support.

Not sure why Lenovo and HP have been putting these in consumer laptops tbh. It's a business laptop feature.

I believe the business also figured out they can put an external filter thats more convenient because you can remove it if you want. Being part of the hardware simply means you have a baggage whether you need it all the time or not

in my personal experience, silver keyboard is worst than anything else. how great the configuration.. but the keyboard is not good with the silver keys and white keyboard light etc.. unless you use an external keyboard.

13.3 inch keyboard size is small and with this silver/white keys. using it in different lightinc conditions is worst experience.
