Reading the bad reviews and the good, it seems like delivery and some units being DOA is a concern. Several people mentioned having to return it to the store was a real pain. Others mention it can too rough. From using other chairs one way to address that is to put a towel or two over the chair. One couple I know does that because most people like the harder pressure but one person does not. But she is fine with throwing a towel on it or wearing a sweater. You get what you pay for, this is not going to be as nice as the 8,000 chairs. But, this does seem like a good value once it is delivered and set up.
I went ahead and bought today. With gas prices going up and inflation in general I doubt the free shipping comes back But that is a guess, no time machine to check for sure.

I think I figured it out. The closest store from me is about 30 miles away so it charges delivery. I tried the same store using an address close to the store and there is no delivery charge. I actually feel better about that. I did not miss out on free delivery I just never placed an order when I looked at it previously so the delivery charge did not display. Fair enough.
It's funny that I wanted a brown one and ordered a black one a few days ago for $1249 to be delivered tomorrow. I didn't hesitate to cancel the order and placed a new one for the brown color for $250 less.

I returned $2300 3D SL to home Depot because arrived with inner wheels broken. Was in no rush getting a new one. For $1000 I would give shot if it was an L or SL
