Repped, but Why'd they have to go and put a glossy display on this? And the display's pretty dim too. Oh well. Other than that, it's a great price for what you get. $1449 most other retailers per a my quick look.

350-nits is not any means a dim display and it is perfect for any kind of indoor usage, even in brightly lit rooms.

I believe BoastfulMice8832 is calling you, or anyone buying (tolerate) this, "trash!" Well, at least I am. One of the reason you stuck with mediocrity is because you tolerate it. You give-in to buying this crap. That's why we can't have nice things.
They take away stuff like TB so they can increase the price of other products. The more you tolerate it, the worse it gets. Like in the car industry. Why we still get stupid Navigation with yearly update cost? And if we don't want that expensive tech package? Well, you get that classic Cassette/CD player. Who still use CD these days?
Can it be different? Well, demand different and refuse this crap. Just look at how Japanese buy cars vs USA. It's completely different because it's entirely customized and not built-in, force you got pay higher prices for x, because you want x that only exists in part of a big expensive package.

Like all those trash people buying AMD without it too I guess.

You come to every Laptop thread and you'll notice these idiotic thread crappers are already there and started thread crapping for no valid reason. These are mostly techno-trolls who try to fire some jargons they've gathered from here and there, mostly without understanding them, and try to throw them to prove their intellect and smartness. Most of these comments you'll see are basically their so called personal experience or some jibber jabber.
For example, in this thread that guy was blabbering for Thunderbolt port and claiming MSI has taken it away. The thing is this MSI M series is their budget productivity laptop for last couple of years, and they never had Thunderbolt port in the 1st place, same for 10th Gen and 11th Gen Intel Processors. Also, as that perforn, what is his main use for Thunderbolt port and you'll find a single answer, external GPU because that's most of the chatter about TB port and they probably picked it up from some chitter chatter. In truth, TB ports are mostly used for multi-device connectivity and workspace extension and less than 10% of the Thunderbolt users actually use eGPU.
By the way, nice answer to that....I guess all the people who bought AMD high performance laptops to this point, are trash, including me.
Not AMD, just a laptop that actually has thunderbolt, aka the entire competition with Intel CPU's..
Ryzen 6000 series has thunderbolt 3, but we don't have many of them released yet.
Is having Thunderbolt or not, the deciding factor to you for a device being trash or not?
And not all Intel laptops have Thunderbt, I can even show you even some costlier models. Read my earlier post...This M series creator from MSI never had Thunderbolt in the 1st place...for last 3 generation, since when it was introduced.
Good to see the 12th gen 12700h laptops starting to go on sale already. Need a new productivity laptop for work, so not interested in graphics as much as cpu and reliability. Would gaming laptops like this work for me, or should I be looking to get another thinkpad, surface, or dell workstation?
Like all those trash people buying AMD without it too I guess.
Nope, because AMD laptops have other advantages and can't offer TB(unless it's Ryzen 6000 series). Intel can offer TB and any laptop over 1.1K should have thunderbolt..
It's a spit in your face to not offer thunderbolt in such a device, $600 Intel devices have thunderbolt, it's just funny

No it's just a spit in your face to not offer thunderbolt on a device over 1K, especially this one. Is that not interesting to you?
$600 laptops have thunderbolt, it's bizarre esp as a workstation/power user laptop
